I have to mention his sweet mother, Catherine. She was so perfectly calm. A time or two she reassured TR by saying "no pressure." Her patient and relaxed attitude toward this experience is exactly how I want parents to feel about photos!
I remember when I took Owen & Sophia to get baby photos taken at one of the department store portrait places...it was always a nightmare. Every time the baby would cry, squirm, or look away from the camera - I felt like a failure as a parent. (Apparently, only terrible mothers don't have their infants trained to sit up straight and smile on demand.) Unfortunately, it wasn't in the teenage photographer's schedule to allow a few minutes for nursing or calming down. I always left sweaty, disappointed and regretful for spending half a day & a bunch of money for some photos that were OK...at best. I would be so frazzled, I'd vow never to go back. Sadly, I went back a lot before I starting doing it myself.
Catherine, I hope you have a beautiful Mother's Day. I think these pictures show just how much this little guy loves you. Look at it this way, if drool were money, TR would be getting you a Mother's Day gift like no other. Seriously, it would be an embarrassment of riches!
